About the Event
What you will learn: Attendees will discover
- How to plan for and execute safe reopening procedures, including properly cleaning and maintenance, physical distance requirements, and food handling policy updates
- How to effectively communicate and enforce in-store policies and procedures with staff and customers
- Marketing techniques to demonstrate and communicate their safe reopenting procedures
During the workshop, business owners will:
- Learn about the requirements for food businesses
- Individually assess what gaps and deficits exist in their own food business
- Work in small groups/pairs to brainstorm ideas for how to achieve food safety requirements and make short term and long term goals
- Identify partners and resources needed to achieve individual goals and develop action plan for tapping into those resources
What you need to bring:
- List of current health and safety procedures that are being observed
- Knowledge of resources that are presently available to you
- Any examples of food businesses that are ‘aspirational’ to model
